About Us

Would you believe that our first flies were bred in our laundry room? What began as a  half-joke in early 2015, Grubbly Farms is built on our passion for sustainability, respect for the environment, and the ardent belief that we can solve a multitude of problems, one bug at a time.

Sean Warner

Co-Founder & CEO

During his senior year at Georgia Tech, Sean conceived the idea of an insect-based food source. This was the beginning of what would eventually become Grubbly Farms. Since January 2015, Sean has spent his time self-educating himself about the black soldier fly and has determined best practices for larva rearing through hands-on  experimentation.

Leveraging his background in construction management, Sean continues to lead our team through its infancy with his technical know-how and business acumen.

Patrick Pittaluga

Co-Founder & COO

Epitomizing the definition of "entrepreneur", Patrick was excited to join forces with his cousin Sean from the conception of Grubbly Farms. During his college career at Georgia Tech, Patrick founded two companies: Predator PC (a custom computer supplier) and Harbor Point (a luxury apparel company).

With his entrepreneurial spirit and background in supply chain and logistics, Patrick is heavily involved in everything business-related, including Grubbly's marketing efforts, business development and sales.
